Coach Code of Conduct Policy | Football NL

The athlete/coach relationship is a privileged one. Coaches play a critical role in the personal and athletic development of their athletes and must understand and respect the inherent power imbalance that exists in this relationship.

Coaches are conduits through which the values and goals of Football Newfoundland and Labrador are channelled. How an athlete regards their sport is often dependent on the behaviour of the coach. This Code of Conduct is intended to support coaches in achieving behaviour standards that foster well-rounded, confident, and productive individuals.
